Navigating Glossi

How Glossi Projects Are Structured

Opening the Glossi app, you'll immediately encounter key terms central to navigating our software. Located at the top left of the screen, these terms help you manage and access different aspects of your work:

  • Workspaces

  • Models

  • Projects

  • Library

The toolbar at the top allows you to manage these elements or navigate to their associated pages easily.

Workspaces

Beside the Glossi icon, a dropdown displays the name of your workspace, created during onboarding. Workspaces organize users, projects, models, and exports within a team, enabling resource sharing beyond individual ownership. Workspaces oversee:

  • Models

  • Projects

  • Exports

Models

To initiate a rendering project in Glossi, you must first upload a 3D model. You can upload models directly using the Create button at the top right or through the Add Model button on the models page. Glossi supports .USDz files. Access and manage your 3D models from the Models page, accessible via the toolbar.

Models form the foundation for rendering projects. You can base many projects on one model, but each project is limited to one model.

Projects

A project encompasses a 3D model within the studio environment, incorporating cameras, lighting, and exports for a scene. Create a project by selecting an uploaded model and manage your projects from the Projects page. Detailed views and management options, including exporting, are available for each project.

Exports

Rendered assets saved in the project navigator become available after finalizing scenes in the studio. You can find all exported assets for a workspace in the Library page. For specific project exports, visit the project's detail page.

Recap

Glossi revolves around workspaces that manage models, projects, and exports. Models are the 3D files you upload; projects are the creative environments linked to these models, and exports are the final, downloadable assets produced from your projects.
